We utilize genomic technology to define the genetic etiology and underlying mechanisms of human disease and wireless devices to define precision therapies.

Major focus areas of research include the development of human genome interpretation tools and genetic dissection of novel rare diseases, sudden death, cancer and healthy aging, as well predictive genomic signatures of therapy, and novel sequencing-based assays as biomarkers of disease.

The Torkamani lab is based at The Scripps Translational Science Institute.
